Overview
Administrators can integrate Turnitin Similarity with Harmonize using API keys provided by Turnitin. This tool will help instructors detect plagiarism in student posts.
IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to integrate Turnitin with Harmonize your institution will need to generate a Custom API scope from its Turnitin account. Currently the only Turnitin products that support this API integration are Turnitin Similarity and Turnitin Originality. All other Turnitin products are designed to only integrate via LTI 1.3 and do not support external tool integration via API.
If your school does not currently have access to Turnitin Similarity or Turnitin Originality, you may have the option to add one of these products to your current Turnitin license agreement. Please contact your Turnitin account representative for assistance.
