Creating PDF Annotations

PDF Annotation provides instructors and students with the ability to markup and critique PDFs within Harmonize.

  • Highlight text and drop pins anywhere in a PDF
  • Add your own comments and reply to others’ annotations
  • Easily jump to new annotations and unread replies
  • Tag other users in comments and replies

Once the PDF Annotation is created by the instructor, both instructors and student can add new annotations as well as respond to the annotations of others. To do so, navigate to any PDF Annotation and use the markup tools outlined below to create annotations.

Q. I don't see the highlighter tool when I open my annotations assignment. Is it not available?

  • When using a mobile device the "Create a Highlight" tool is unavailable and only the "Drop a Pin" and "Move/Pan" toolbar options are present.
