Harmonize Chat Desktop Notifications

  • Updated

Harmonize Chat now supports browser notifications so you can be alerted about new messages even if you're working in other browser tabs or other apps on your device. Clicking on a notification will take you directly to the chat conversation, either in the chat window you already have open in your browser or opening a new chat window for you.

Please note that at this time, Harmonize Chat notifications only work in the following browsers:

  • Desktop Browsers
    • Google Chrome
    • Microsoft Edge
    • Mozilla Firefox
  • Mobile Browsers
    • Google Chrome (Android Only)

Enabling Browser Notifications

  • From any Harmonize Discussion, click your profile picture in the top right corner
  • In the profile popup that appears, click on your user name.

  • On your Harmonize Profile screen, select the Chat Settings tab.
  • Click the Turn On Chat Notifications button.

  • If a new browser tab appears, click the Turn on Push Notifications button.

  • In the browser confirmation popup that appears, click Allow.

  • Harmonize Chat browser notifications are now enabled. Clicking these notifications will take you directly to the Chat thread that triggered the notification.
