- If you scroll down, you will be able to upload your assignment.
- Begin by entering a subject for your post in the Subject field (marked [1] in the above image).
- Next, you can use the Drop files or click or click to browse button (marked [2] in the above image) to upload images, written documents, or pre-recorded audio or video files.
- Alternatively, you can use the tools in the media row to record audio, video, or your screen.
- If your instructor has included a rubric and enabled coaching, you will see the option to View AI Feedback on your draft.
- When you're ready, click Publish.
- Peer Review instructions will appear. Review these carefully.
- Scrolling down, you will see your work appear in the traditional Harmonize grid view.
How to Review Peers
- If work is available for you to review, you will see a button labeled Start Peer Review. If work is not available to review, you will need to return later.
- For written work, you will have the option to add comments directly onto the assignment. To do this, select Add Notes.
- Add a long-form written comment in the textbox if desired or required. Note that if there is a minimum word count requirement, only the words typed in this box will count.
- Below the textbox, you may click to upload any files and will also see additional tools for multimedia commenting: recording video, recording audio, and recording your screen.
- If you're reviewing images or videos, you might find it useful to leave annotations and time-stamped feedback. See the following articles for more details:
- When you're ready, click Publish.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Why can't I see the typical grid view? Where's the "Create Post" button?
- Peer reviews look a little from discussions. When you first enter a peer review assignment, you will see a place to submit initial assignment post. You will only see the grid view once you submit your work. Once you've submitted your work, you will see the option to "Start Peer Review." You will never see a "Create Post" button.
Q. What happens if I post first or post early?
- Posting first or early is great! But you won't have any work available to review until other students complete their assignment posts. Check back later.
Q. What happens if I post late?
- If you post your assignment late, you may not receive all, or any, of your peer reviews.
Q. Why isn't there work available for me to review?
- It could be that you're too early, and no one else has submitted anything yet. Alternatively, if you come back to the assignment after the deadline, it may be that there are no drafts left to be reviewed.
Q. Why can’t I start my second review?
- You cannot start a second peer review until you've completed your first. If you've already completed one review and another one is not available, it could be the case that no one else has submitted anything yet. Alternatively, there may be no drafts left to be reviewed. In any case, we recommend checking back later to see if something becomes available.
Q. Will I be notified when work is available to review?
- No. Harmonize only assigns reviews when you're viewing the assignment, so you'll need to check back later if there's nothing to review right now.
