Overview
Harmonize offers a suite of engagement tools for students ranging from Discussions to Peer Review to Social Annotation. Flexible and feature-rich, our tools can serve as alternatives to other popular tools, meaning that institutions can choose to simplify their tech stack. Using fewer tools has pragmatic benefits (cost savings) but also has real learning benefits for students and instructors, because it reduces cognitive load (fewer tech tools to learn). To help smooth the transition to a new tool, we provide migration guides to help faculty move their activities into Harmonize.
Migration Guides
- YellowDig (multi-week, student driven discussions)
- VoiceThread (audio and video discussions)
- Perusall or Hypothesis (social reading/annotation)
- Peerceptive, Feedback Fruits, Kritik, Eli, etc. (peer review)
- GoReact (timestamped video feedback)
- Piazza (Q&A boards)
- PackBack (coming soon!)
Faculty-First Migration Support
Before you make any decision to transition, our team will meet directly with your faculty to answer questions, walk through workflows, and address concerns specific to your teaching context. Once you decide to move forward, we continue that support with guided training for faculty during the transition. We will help your instructors feel confident, prepared, and supported every step of the way, with minimal disruption to courses and teaching practices.
