Recording Audio in Harmonize

Overview

Use Harmonize's built-in Audio Recorder to automatically attach audio recordings to your posts, comments, and replies. The example below will all reference recordings for new posts, but the same steps work for comments and replies as well.

 

Recording Audio in Harmonize

  • Open your Harmonize assignment and click Create post:

  • Click the Record Audio button in the Harmonize Editor.

  • If this is your first time using the Harmonize Audio Recorder, your browser will request permission to access your microphone. Click Allow or Yes.

  • This will open the Audio Recorder. Click the Start Recording button to begin your audio recording.
    • NOTE: There is a 5 minute max on all Harmonize audio recordings.

  • Click the Pause button to pause your audio recording.
    • From pause, click the Record button to resume recording.
    • From pause, click Done to complete the recording.
  • Click Stop to complete your Audio Recording.

  • Your audio recording is automatically saved and will remain attached to your unpublished post while you add other content such text, image files, and other media.

  • If needed, click the Delete & Record Again button to begin the recording from scratch. When you are finished editing your post, click the Publish button.

Q. The Harmonize recorder is not recording my audio or video. How can I fix this?

Q. What happens when I hit the time limit?

  • When you hit the time limit, Harmonize will act as though you have hit the "Stop" button. Recording will cease, and we will process the recording so you can review it.
